Alabama Seafood Association to Provide Feast for
Saturday Night at Historic Blakeley State Park
September 2, 2004

The Alabama Seafood Association has signed on as host for the dinner at Historic Blakeley State Park on Saturday, Oct. 16. This event, like all BirdFest tours and dinners, requires advance registration. Cost is just $25 per person, which includes dinner, a guided "Birding by Night" tour and a presentation by Dr. Doug Phillips of Discovering Alabama.

"This is going to be a night to remember at Historic Blakeley State Park," said Jo Ann Flirt, park director. "We have had events here before put on by the Alabama Seafood Association, and I can assure you the meal will be delicious. And we are so excited about welcoming BirdFest guests and Dr. Phillips to our park. Doug Phillips is an outstanding speaker, and he is a very entertaining and popular nature personality. Birders are going to love his presentation, but I think that just about anyone, avid birder or not, will enjoy the evening. I strongly encourage local folks, in particular, to register now for this event."
